ASDA also have a new store in Leith: Asda, Leith by Keppie Architects: This £25m Asda Edinburgh was submitted for planning in 2004. The new supermarket opened in 2008. Around 500 car parking spaces were proposed and a size of 41,000sq ft. The new Asda Edinburgh store is located just north of Chancelot Mill at Western Harbour near the Newhaven / Leith border.
