One of the most significant shopping developments in many decades brings Harvey Nichols and a collection of international retailers to the first new street created in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town since the eighteenth century.

The site, owned by Coal Pension Properties Limited, who are advised by LaSalle Management, used to house a 1950s bus station and 60s/70s offices. This has all been demolished and the new development will incorporate, apart from the 96,000sqft Harvey Nichols, 25 individual shops totalling 85,000sqft, an airport style bus interchange and 40,000sqft of prime office space.
The Harvey Nichols store is planned over five floors with a bar, bistro, restaurant and food hall at the top level. A restaurant terrace will command some of the most spectacular views over Edinburgh.
The buildings on Multrees Walk will be finished in sandstone and granite to reflect the grace and quality of Edinburgh’s Georgian town centre. The Walk will cost around £30m and is expected to open in summer 2002
