Commenting on the appointment, Lynsay Bell, managing director of LBA said:

Brian Tobin, added:
“An exciting time to join the business, the studio is rapidly expanding with many great projects and clients and I am delighted to be part of that.”
LBA is a progressive and dynamic practice based in the Edinburgh’s west end in Walker Street. With a creative team of 14 architectural designers and studio team, LBA boasts local, national and international expertise gained from as far afield as Norway and China to Dubai and Australia. This international focus, as well as localised knowledge, brings unique insights and design solutions for private residential and commercial developments.
Specialists in listed buildings, refurbishment and conservation projects, LBA project highlights include the renovation of Williamstone Farm Steadings, showcasing the Firm’s unique design approach. The three steadings were renovated by defining the original fabric of the buildings and sympathetically applying any new alterations to minimise the impact on the listed building.
The conversion transformed the steadings into three-bedroom contemporary dwellings, ‘The Byre’, ‘The Bothy’ and ‘The Barn’, currently being used as luxurious holiday lets.
