Restaurants on the square include Le Sept, Banns Vegetarian Restaurant, by architects at Malcolm Fraser Architects, and Chocolate Soup by Graven Images
Hunter Square was part of Page & Park Architects’ Royal Mile Project of 1994-95 with sculptures by Randal-Page (water fountain) and Hamilton-Finlay. The square has had a bad reputation for many years as a hang-out for dodgy characters.
