The hotel’s glass façade relates to the cinema to the west and incorporates the Victorian sandstone façade of the Lady Glenorchy Church. The interior was by MA:ST Architects, an architectural studio based in Glasgow.

The popular Edinburgh Playhouse Theatre is located next door, down the hill towards Leith Walk. Situated cose by to the west is the Mood Entertainment Bar and Calton Square complex, including the omni edinburgh cinema complex.
