This is a really elegant modern house extension which I had the good fortune to visit as the Chair of the Edinburgh Architectural Asscoiation Awards jury in the early 2000s.

Crerar & Partners worked as Implementation Architects on the Edinburgh Travel Inn with Andy Doolan Architects.

RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award

This Scottish architectural prize was established with amazing generosity from Andrew in 2002. The inaugural winner was locla practice Malcolm Fraser Architects with their lovely Dance Base buildings tucked away off the Grassmarket just south east of Edinburgh Castle.

All types of architectural projects in Scotland are eligible, including new-build, regeneration, restoration, extensions and interiors.
